In this book, Skandia is being attacked by a "unstoppable" force. Fortunately, Halt had experience with them and is Skandia's only hope. They refuse at first and find Evalyn's secret. War is in Skandia itself about this for a little bit as Erak halts the commotion. He continues to protect Evalyn even though she is Cassandra. Halt says that the best way is to have archers protect the front line while shields protect them. This strategy works and the enemy retreats. Cover is this.
